Elisabetta Martignetti’s work is inspired by fairy tales, literature, comics and manga, cartoons and anime, magic and nature. Her style has been described as “girly nostalgic punk’ with themes on the passage between childhood and adulthood, while characters investigate the position of women and human relationships in the modern western society. Primarily working with acrylic paint on canvas, wood, and Masonite, she is a self-taught artist and has had the great honor of seeing her work exhibited in several galleries in Italy and the USA.
