Jay Lynn Kelly
, a Texan born and raised, recently returned from living overseas; three years in Bangkok followed by two years in Istanbul. Between high school and the expat period, he pursued a thirty year career in the printing industry, then fifteen years as an artist represented by galleries across the United States. Upon graduating from TCU with an art degree at the age of sixty, he and his wife departed for Bangkok.

As artist in residence with Ruamrudee International School in Thailand, he continued to create and exhibit many new works. But the paintings included here are more recent, having been created after his return to the USA. According to the artist these are very personal paintings, perhaps more so that any of his previous work, as they are populated by the icons and landscapes that naturally form the backdrop for the joys and pains of life.
