Know All Your Enemies — John Sweet
didn’t have the balls to
kill himself until the day he finally did,
and then we laughed when we heard
the news and called him a coward
called his girlfriend later on that week
to see if she wanted to hang out,
maybe see a movie, maybe get laid
because why not?
flipped through
her copy of anne frank’s diary
a few months later
while she was off in rehab
but didn’t see what the big deal was
didn’t understand that all of our past mistakes were still out there just waiting to shake our hands in the future
